I did some searching for PS1 map 6 tuning and went ahead and made my own with 17psi peak from 4k-5.5k rpm then taper down to 14.5 psi at 7k.

WOW!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!

Ok, I take back my previous doubts as to "was it worth it."

I got around to reading up on how to do some manual tuning on the JB4 and played a little bit on my commuting route. I used map 6 with peak 17psi throughout a long range of rpm up to 5500.

I let FF find it's own curve by doing a few WOT runs and this thing is running smoother than ever. Here's a snapshot. It looks like I'm not running much advance at all despite new plugs and coils. Looks like some more garage time is needed.

The car has brand new plugs and coils, both factory Bosch, but I forgot to re-gap the plugs to .022

Being 93 oct on stock fuel system I picked 17psi as a conservative starting point peak but it I holds that level easily.

Car: 2012 e82 N55, CP, AD Engineering 650 intercooler, PE muffler, stock DP, BMS filter, 93 oct on stock fuel system.

Hey Bill. It's better if you send actual log link so we can see.

I couldn't upload the csv file but just realized I could zip it then upload. Done.

I went back again and made the datazap chart public and added link. I'm still learning this stuff.

Also added spec/mods.

Good job man. In future you should change your downpipes. It gives a lot. I remember when I changed mine the difference was night and day.
Plus the sound of the exhaust is much better.

I’ve had a Vishnu DP sitting in my parts box for over a year. Definitely on the list but I’ll do it at the same time as the M3 subframe swap since I’ll need the exhaust out for that. I spent some time looking in the DP area when doing the turbo and seems like pulling the right side support arm and engine mount would make that job super easy.

I’ve got the PE muffler on the car but did not cut off the resonators since I thought I should go step by step with the loudness. An option would be full MHD with cold start option.

Just got an email from PayPal. Core refund from Pure Turbos was issued just a few hours after they received my old turbo. I didn’t have to chase the $$$.

👍👍👍👍👍 for Pure Turbos
