I'm annoyed BMW stuck us with runcraps and haven't come through with the promised performance upgrades. Otherwise, though, I regret nothing.

Here is a very briefly recap for those who don't want to find my posts (don't blame you)-

I accept responsibility for not being more patient and finding out that the character of the car is not what I prefer.

I find the car over-teched and isolated in feel.

It's a great GT/DD but it's not the sports car I was hoping for and lead to believe it was. Again. it's on me for not being more patient and thorough in my own research.
agree; as much as i like it as a DD, and i do take long trips where i appreciate the comfort, i think i'll go a little smaller and lighter next time; something like a z2 coupe with a 4cyl. turbo.

When I got my '06 E90, I ordered it with the exact options I wanted and the multi-month wait was pure torture.

I was impatient when I got my 135i and settled for a car that was in my local area that I could have the next day, even though the options were a little different than my exact wants.

I love my car, but wish I had taken the time and ordered exactly what I wanted. If you are dropping this kind of moo-lah on a car you should get exactly what you want and nothing you don't.

So I guess I have regrets about my options, but ZERO regrets about getting the 135.

What options do you regret? You've got a sweet looking ride, at least on the exterior.

Living in the Houston area, I may use the heated seats once or twice a year. I'm not sure yet because I just got this car in April. Difinitely not a very useful option here.

The power seats are nice because of the memory, but again, that's an option that was around a grand.

If I did it the right way (my way), I think I should have gotten the premium package. I have chronic back problems and having lumbar support in the seat would really be nice. I would have cost more that way, but it would have probably been worth it because it would be nice to have some of the other things that come along with the premium package.

And I have mixed feelings about the I-drive. None of the cars I test-drove had it, my last bimmer didn't have it, so I really don't know what I'm missing. It does look like a more convenient way to navigate through my I-Pod, though. I'm sure if my next car has it, I'll never be able to live without it.

I don't think I would have picked jet black if I ordered a car, but I'm glad I have it now because I really love the look of my car, especially after adding the mods I have so far.

My lack of patience put me in this situation. But I still absolutely love my car though. There is always next time. And I think next time I will have to exercise a tad more self control.

And thanks for the kudos on my baby. I can't get enough of her.

I am starting to regret not getting the bluetooth option. I like my Garmin in the BMW bracket for navigation and to play MP3s but it's bluetooth, even with the remote microphone, isn't great. I haven't heard the BMW option but I bet it is noticably better.

That's it. I only got sport and walnut. Maybe I should have expanded it to include bluetooth.

A few reasons...
1 - My wife said she didn't want me to have another car that was close to my old WRX in HP. (i got a little nuts with that car)
2 - After reading about all the issues with HPFP's and electrical stuff that 135 owners have been having I wanted the reliability. Yes there are MANY 135 owners that have hardly any issues but I have found very VERY few issues with 128i owners.
3 - I test drove the 128 but not the 135. I was very happy with the handling and smooth engine, though I knew I had to appease the wife and be satisfied with the HP...so I got it.

We both thought it was a real nice car, but like I said, it's the character that I find lacking. Since buying my 128 I have drive a 135. I loved the power, but frankly, I find little difference else wise between the two cars. Not enough for me to have wished I had gotten one.

Once again, I take nothing away from the cars abilities. I just don't think its the car I should have bought at all.

No regrets here. Still love the car. It has its minor annoyances, but any car you buy will have a handful of them.
