120d styling?

Hello, fellow 1-series owners!

I am from Norway, and due to the HUGE fees on cars we have in this country (Second highest in the world ), I could "only" afford a 120d coupè with M-sport package. (I'ts around 67K $ in Norway, and don't ask how much the 135i is!)

My question is if any of you know of any exhaust systems that are designed for this model, and if it's any use putting new exhaust-systems on diesel cars like this one?!

Thanks from Norway^^

Price is steeper aswell. I choose Remus since it looked ok for the price. Performance gains you can forget anyways.

Simco.no have it for around 4500 nok if i remember correctly.

Non yet, got the car y-yday Gonna get the re-mapping done first, then we'll see what i'll do next. Any suggestions? I am pretty sure im gonna get a carbon rear diffusor, aswell as carbon mirrors, but im not sure about the exhaust yet. Preferably, I would get one with upgrade in sound, and looks

Since the Hartge version dont make any more sound, i quess you have to forget abaut that if you dont want a complete costum exhaust. The Hartge is just a straight pipe vith tips...
What remap are you going for?
I just painted my rear diffuser in the same colour as the shadowline, that helped alot and is alot cheaper than the carbon version. I have also changed to 135I kidneys, and dropped it.
If I where you i would first put money in the suspension, then rims and exhaust.

67k $ for the 120D!!!!! Standard...?!!

Djeezzs... and I thought Belgium had high taxes ....

Bought my 123D full option for around 40K € (EURO).
Still have to pay 2500€ to get it registered. Looking at the dollar course, I guess this 42500€ gets close to your 67k$...

What a shame..

Easy decision - Move to Sweden!!!
(the girls aren't too bad there, either )

Really terrible for Norwegians... that sucks...

Even better: start up a company in Sweden and give yourself a company car... That's how some Belgians do it: they start up their company in Luxembourg because of the lower taxes...

Actualy a bit more:

I payed 79 167,03$ for mine, starts at 61 784,7$.... the 135I starts at 139 230,7$ ...

the exchange rate is 6,2 now i think. Here you also see that they have reduced the power in the 120d to get the price lower. (Mine is a 177hp/350Nm)

"Only"?? Man, you're richer than I am for sure! I bet you get discounts on any actual German-built parts though compared to us over here, so as others have said eisenmann, hartge, ac schnitzer... in short, all of us in the US might get some better prices (for god knows what reason) but we don't get access to all of the completely awesome german tuners that you guys in europe can easily buy from!

Many parts from german tuners just plain aren't available in the US without ridiculous shipping charges that might as well double the cost of some parts, so part of it (which i think is a plus) is that the guys in europe don't have nearly the same shipping charges, plus have the parts available without special request or having to work through a middle-man just to get them! Plus you guys have diesel models... All the power of the 135i aside, I would kill for a diesel BMW here that WASNT a 335d.. or an X6 35d... BMW makes great diesel engines.. but apparently thinks they're unfit for the US market

And a 130i or even a ridiculously awesome 135i hatchback (direct competition versus the Subaru STI hatchback so they have NO excuse)... I'd WET myself...

But since we (Norway) isnt apart of EU, the shipping and tax is high (25% on the price including shipping) to get the parts here aswell. Dont think its much more (If at all) expensive to get them to US.

We cant get an 135 hatch. The biggest engine in the hatch, is the 130I.

Wow I didn't know the shiping and tax was that high for you just because you're not in the EU!! That changes things quite a bit!

As for the 135i hatch, I don't think that's available anywhere, I was just speculating that if it were to exist in the US, it would be a prime competitor for the recently introducted Subaru WRX STI hatch, and it would beat it at it's own game for the SAME base price (35k, without options)! One can only wish though!

Also some sellers dont want to send to Norway either.. So i think we are in the same situation.

No its not, and probably wont be. Maybe when the new model comes it will.
