Brake Oscillation. Rotor? Pad?
Recently got a 2013 135 with 80K.
Brakes had been done recently at a generic brake shop before I got it. Getting some brake oscillation at lighter braking levels now. If I hit them a little harder, it's much smoother. I've seen here that warped rotors are rare. So that could then point to the possibility they weren't bedded. If that wasn't done properly, is there a remedy? Do the rotors need to be turned? Could it be something else? I still have lots to learn, so no problem with getting an education.

I've resigned myself to dealing with my cheap quality rotors (Dura 2-piece) - the metallurgy is crap, and when paired with slightly aggressive pads (Stoptech sport) I keep getting bad deposit build up. I can improve it by doing a re-bedding, but it comes back over a few days. |
