FINALLY got a new set of rear tires. Took four months to come in, perfect timing for the end of summer.

How many miles do you think you will get out of them?
Next time I need a set of tires I think I will want to treat myself to some!

Don't really monitor how long they last, but my previous PSS were the longest lasting tires I have had on the car, and the PS4S is supposed to last even longer. Although, I only have 72k km, and this will be the fifth set of tires on the car.

Great. Bigger gap, more stable ign, fewer timing pulls.

Do it

Yup. Date code on the tires is 30th week of 2021. (July 26, 2021 to Aug. 1, 2021) I ordered them in April. At least I know they are fresh.

Spent the whole summer trying not to spin the tires by even looking at the gas pedal.

Do you rotate your tires at all?

our cars have a staggered tire setup so unless he intentionally ran a square setup, I'm not sure if it's actually possible to rotate...

You can flip them if staggered, but no the fronts can't go on the rear and vice versa.

Reminds me, I'm due to rotate my rear tires to the front (square).

Garage List
Installed my BMWPI. Deleted the charcoal filter and cleaned the MAF at the same time and the car seems to be breathing a bit better. Feels like the throttle is a tad bit more responsive and there's a nice bump in induction noise. Butt dyno didn't notice any significant gains tho.

Only gripes are that I couldn't get the snorkel and the box to sit flush, and getting the new box in and out is much more of a chore than with the stock one.

Run staggered (245 fr/265 rr) so I just switch side to side every oil change. My wear is perfect across the tread. I am a BMW front end tech, so the car gets 3-4 alignments per year, and to my own personal specs, not factory specs.

Just asking because I run a squared setup.

Different (smaller) electrode made from different material I believe and thicker ceramic insulation as well as being 1 step colder. Dunno if the N55 plugs are cold or not.

The above info is heresay as I don't quite remember, grain of salt.

Wow. I know the Bay Area is a crazy bubble, but I see both every couple months. That C&C I went to there was one is, and there were TWO VO 1M’s - one stock; one with tasteful mods.
Saw a bright yellow Ferrari Superfast (well, heard it first. Awesome)before I even knew they were out.
And pre-COVID, a guy would commute my route but opposite direction in a bright Orange McLaren 720. I’d see him, on average, twice a week. And my departure time was all over the place.
Took a long time to see my first Genesis G70 outside the car show, though.

I got 22,000 miles on my first set of front MPSS's until threads were showing. Put 26k on that set of rears until one burst from excessive wear.
Don't go that long...

I dialed back the front negative camber a hair and replaced the next set of MPSS with 28,600 on the fronts and 23,250 on the rears.

Current PS4S are at 18,000 miles with 4/32 remaining. They'll need to go before the rain sets in. (We really need the rain to set in this winter.)

Note, I don't turn off the DSC, perform smoky burnouts, or try to launch myself through guardrails. But every once in a while, if the road is particularly interesting and free of traffic I'll push 'em to making whooshing noises. Front camber is currently around -1.7 degrees (Dinan plates and popped out the pin.)
