Weird, my rear seemed to have much more room to the fender, but then my rear is higher and the front sits a bit lower. I think the Dinan plates will even things up nicely.

Also, I've been driving around for the last 2 days on 3mm spacers and I'm not hitting the fenders up front, even without the camber plates. Not sure that'd still be the case if I hit a big bump or drove aggressively though, so I'll still fit the camber plates for peace of mind.

Yea and a little more camber never hurt anyone. Unless the roads in your neck of the woods are terrible I see nothing but benefits.

I've put a few hundred miles on mine, no issues or anything like that. I'll take a picture of the rear fitment tomorrow, it's not poking or anything but the wheel is all up in the fender's biz so every time the car sees sustained compression (the bottom of a hill) it's

Cool, that'd be good. Can you get a couple shots of the fronts as well please?

The roads round here aren't great and there's increasing numbers of potholes in the road surface, but I generally try to avoid them as much as possible. Why would negative camber be a bad thing with bad roads? Tram lining or something?

Crap I forgot- but ya just hunting every imperfection. Unless your toe is way out of whack it's not a big concern though.

Ok, so my Dinan plates just arrived. Nothing much to say about them - they're very basic things!

135Pats, did you get a look at your strut mounts at all or ask about whether it was worth replacing them? I've asked for a price here in the UK and they're over £100 for the pair! Not sure how necessary it is to replace them. How many miles do your car have on it? Mine's at around 45,000, and I've replaced a bunch of suspension bushes etc recently, so it seems a shame to miss these, but £100, ouch!

Haven't done anything to my 1 suspension-wise, but I've read here that around 50,000 miles it might be worth getting new ones.

I don't see why? I spoke to my mechanic yesterday and he said he gets 12 - 15 year old BMWs in with high mileage and the rubber mounts are fine. He doesn't see any reason why they'd need replacing on a 5 year old 50,000 mile car.

Who says they need replacing, and for what reason?

Maybe I’m just an idiot but I re-used them…plates have been on the car for a few weeks and absolutely no issues or noise. IDK? E88 was at 56K when they went on.

Well my mechanic can't see a reason to replace them either. Apparently they're still fine at double the age and mileage of our cars, as you'd probably expect them to be. Not sure why some people think they'd need replacing?

IDK. I’m pretty serious when it comes to maintaining the car, and I just don’t see the need here. Hey some people do oil changes at 1K miles….it is what it is I guess.

Mine seemed fine, so I re-used em.

Likewise - change the oil every 6 months and seem to be doing the trans and diff fluid yearly at the moment until I find one that I like. However if there's nothing wrong with those rubber mounts there seems little point replacing them.

Sure, if they were brittle or cracking or something, then I definitely would, but I doubt that's the case at this age.
