I'm scared to see the cost on those. Aftermarket will explode when it hits the US. By that time vendors will be competing for your business and it would be silly to spend the money BMW would want. Unless you just want to say its BMW parts for bragging rights. I personally, could not care less.

335's have a short shifter available now, I'm assuming it should also work with the 135i. I would also guess it it does not work, BMW will have one available soon after release.

Look at this flipping wheel, looks like a ps3 accessory. It will measure a quarter mile time and your reaction time off of a light (not sure how that works):

That in the steering wheel wreath, behind the display and the LEDs present electronics grasps over the packing feather per LIN-bus on the
vehicle page P-CAN and enabled the driver information following and/or Features: – Stop clock with hh: mm: ss notice, consecutive
start/stop-function as well as Reset-function – stop clock "Race-mode" with mm:ss:1/100sec notice and start request over traffic light start.
Detection of the start reaction time, up to 10 meantimes as well as the Vmax. Automatic storage of the Top-Score values – US Quartermile-Race
with traffic light start. Detection of the US-specific Quartermile-Race values reaction time, time until 60´, 330´ and 1000´ as well as time
and V in 1/8 and ¼ mile. Storage of the Top-Score values – sprint of 0-400m with traffic light start. Detection of the acceleration times for
0-40 km/h, 0-60km/h, 0-80 km/h etc. until 400m as well as detection of the total time and speed in 400m. Storage of the Top-Score values –
notice of breadth acceleration and along acceleration. Storage of the left and right as well as positive and negative maximal values – notice
of motor temperature and oil temperature – gear change notice with 2X5 LEDs

good stuff matt, though I agree about the overpricing from BMW on performance original parts, you´re better off getting aftermarket parts with even better visual and performance orientation. Unless of course having unlimited resources, then M/tii your 1er.
looking forward to more cool stuff...

Octothorp, that's true, but your BMW Center will also have to have the ETK (electronic parts catalog) from that month, and they usually don't get them immediately (or start using them immediately).

So, if you went in to your BMW Center in March, they still would likely not recognize the part numbers you give them.

I thought they were Recaro Sportsters? Not to knitpick, but they're only $1400 /per

if the seats are not available for the US because of airbags, and you switch to those seats anyway; it may trip the airbag light.

i'm only saying this, because the same happened for the MINIs with their John Cooper Works seats, which were available in Europe but not in the US because of the lack of airbag. If you do switch to those seats or any other seats, the airbag light goes on because of the lack of the airbag/sensor in the seats.
