Tire Help Please

Ok, so my setup is this:

19x8.5 et45 fronts
19x9.5 et48 rears

My rears rub over almost ever dip in the road or if i have passengers or even anything heavy in the truck. I'm trying to get something that wont rub and i know that all depends on the offset, suspension, and also the brand of the tire. i was going to go with 245/35/19 because that's what most people are running but then i heard that actually a 255/30/19 would be better. I'm on stock suspension and i have no plans of lowering anytime soon so I was looking for the best tire that wont rub and also look pretty good too (i dont want it to look super skinny like a low-pro tire). Any input and help would be appreciated. Also any tire brands would be appreciated too.

When I bought my used wheels the prior owner was using 245/35/19 Hankook rears. I rarely rubbed until lowered, but lowered I rubbed. I messed with my fenders (I was already rolled) bending away areas where I rubbed. Then I removed my rear seat and mainly went to Toyo T1R 255/30/19s and I never rub anymore. I have tons of space now and I'm considering going to 265/30/19 Nitto N555's since not many tires are available in 255/30/19.

I've had plenty of experience with rubbing tires over the years. Generally in my mind Falkens, Toyos, and Nittos seem to run the smallest and roundest. However, any tire that runs small is gonna look skinnier, you just can't have both if you hae aggressive wheels and don't want to rub. If you for sure don't want to rub, go with the Toyo T1R, 255/30/19. It's tiny but it will work, also I think I'm gonna make it to 25k miles or so before I need to replace and that's outstanding to me for this type tire and HP.

I have the same size wheels, ET35 and ET45. The car is lowered. I am on Yokohama S.Drives 215/35/19 front, 235/30/19 rear and I barely rub at all. None during driving by myself, very slight rubbing in the rear passenger side over HUGE dips when I have a passenger. Fenders aren't rolled. I'm interested in putting on fatter tires too... If I get my fenders rolled how much of a fatter tire does anyone think I'll be able to stick on and have the same level of minimum rubbing?

As for OP's question... what size are you running now? I don't think in those offsets that the rears should be rubbing at all if you have correctly sized tires on stock suspension, which is pretty high up.

And +1 to what Eyeman said about the rounded shoulder tires. PSS and Star Specs tend to be pretty beefy and square shouldered and will probably present some rubbing problems. The Japanese tires tend to have the more rounded shoulders for some reason.

Also, Eyeman, how would you rate the T1Rs? Pretty good or not so much?

I like the T1r's, I am running Nittos up front for now and like them too. But I like softer sidewall tires when running such low profiles so they don't ride to harshly since my car is a daily driver.
