I've had mine since June of '08 and have put 24,000kms on it. Over the past month and a half I've finally starting to get some squeaks when it goes over larger bumps and ruts but it isn't too bad. I kind of expected it as it is a vert.
Overall I'm still very happy with the car.

4 months/5,500 miles and I'm giddy everytime I'm about to drive it. When I was out of town and didn't get to drive it for 5 days, the first thing I did was go grocery shopping so I could take it for a drive. I just love my 135i.

My interior became a rattlebox after the front M3 suspension bits were installed. The rattles occur consistently on certain roads and as long as I'm on these roads. Still love the car though. Ditching the runflats soon, and hopefully these noises will subside.

All out of love and extremely glad to have had the good sense to lease this car instead of buying. I only wish the term had been for one year, not three. This model is destined to become a major cash cow for both dealer and corporate when out of warranty. Runcraps; punishing ride; rattles, squeaks, ticks; bug infested software; delicate paint; vandalism magnet; HPFP; 18,000 miles between oil changes; lethal depreciation: Love truly is blind if you can continue to defend this car. I begin to appreciate the full meaning of the phrase “European cachet.” I’ll definitely be giving the Japanese luxury brands my business after this experience.

I love the car, but after one HPFP down and experiencing long starts again... I am a bit worried about the long term maintenance costs of the vehicle. I absolutely love driving it though.

I've had none of the problems you describe. Other than the HPFP, and some squeaks which many seem to have, there is no reason to have to defend my 2nd BMW and 4th German/Europen "cachet" automobile. Japanese luxury? That would by some Lexus models, other than that they aren't any better at luxury. BTW, the 1 and the 3 aren't really "luxury" cars, and the 1 surely isn't and wasn't intended to be. Higher price tag doesn't a luxury car make. |

Just about 23,000 miles and I really feel like I've just began to master the car's capabilities, which keeps me in love with it. Never any HPFP issues, and the only rattle I have comes from the windscreen area since I've had it replaced due to a crack. I am growing a little tired of the notchy, long-throws of the 6MT.. but after spending some time in a steptronic 135 loaner, I still wouldn't trade it. A SSK should rectify those issues eventually. Ditched the RFTs several thousand miles ago.. what a world of difference!

LOL Never bored, but always great to jump in between a high strung 100hp per liter visceral and linear NA engine, and a forced induction TT I6 which is so torquey and mod-loving

If I had seen this thread yesterday I would have said I still love it despite having to replace a HPFP at 1300 miles. A few hours ago I just had another long crank at about 2700 miles. That said, even though its a hoot to drive, I'm about to file some papers on this thing.

I hit 8K miles a couple weeks ago and still love it. Adding JB+ renewed my love for the car.

My brother has one, and it most certainly does. He fixes them, but they do happen.
I'm up to 7000 miles and still loving my car. No mishaps or problems, just fun.
