Just do it dude. I spent probably 3 weeks dicking around trying to sell my old 328 on forums, then said screw it and put it on autotrader, it sold in one day. Listed my 335 on forums, nothing, put it on swapalease, got a guy who took it over in 5 days. Forum members are not your ideal market, and the $100 or so you will pay will be well worth it to get people who are interested at your asking price and don't try to lowball the shit out of you. Good luck!

I'll probably swaplease it after Thanksgiving if nothing pans out.
Also willing to throw in all the mats and visors for new owner if the swap comes from this site. Last edited by UdubBadger; 11-17-2011 at 09:55 AM.. |

You call BMW financial and basically take over the payments in your name for the remainder of the time left. It takes about 3-4 weeks to get all the paperwork filled out and processed on their end, some notarizing is required on the two parties sides and there is a $500 transfer fee.

yeah I assume so. you can call in, prequalify for credit then pay the transfer fee to get the process going.

I recently did lease assumption, it's 2 stages (3rd stage is completion.. not really a stage) and takes 2-3 weeks. $500 fee paid by assumer, very straightforward.

from what I remember it goes...
Make lease assumable. Buyer calls in to apply for credit and pay assumption fee. Buyer accepted. Seller is sent paperwork to fill out and have notarized. Seller sends in paperwork. Buyer is sent paperwork to fill out and have notarized. Buyer sends in paperwork. BMW "processes" for a week or so. When processing is done, car then changes possession. Feel free to call BMW Financial to just ask them about the process. Normally they'll say I would be the one paying for the assumption fee but I'm just going to have the new person pay it directly to BMW to save time on my end of being reimbursed. |
