High Mileage 1M For Sale

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
2011 BMW 1 Series M with 172,378 miles. This is a one owner car picked up on Nov. 4, 2011. About 90% of the miles are highway miles due to a long commute. I’m selling the car because I need more room for the family.
Modifications:
• AFE Dual Cone Dry Filter Air Intake
• Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe w/ Tial BoV
• Ohlins Road and Track Coilovers using stock springs
• VRSF Downpipes
• Akrapovic Axleback, remote valved exhaust w/ carbon fiber tips
• Maddad midpipe w/o resonator
• Cobb V3 Access Port Tuner
• BMS Oil Catch Can
• Xpel Ultimate Half Hood Paint Protection Film
• Huper Optik Nano Ceramic Tint, 35%
• Wheels painted semi-gloss black
• Calipers painted Valencia Orange to match body
All original parts minus air intake and charge pipe are included with sale. Maintenance History is fully documented as all major service has been performed at a BMW dealership. All but a few oil changes were also performed at a BMW dealership. Notable recent repairs include:
• Genuine BMW Water pump @ 160,400 miles
• Genuine BMW Oil Filter Housing Gasket @ 160,060 miles
• Genuine BMW Front Rotors and Brake Pads @ 160,060 miles
• Genuine BMW High Pressure Fuel Pump @ 160,060 miles
• Genuine BMW Valve Cover Gasket @ 155,000 miles
• Genuine BMW Spark Plugs @ 155,000 miles
• Genuine BMW Coil Packs @ 135,000 miles
• New battery @ 160,060 miles

The car is still on the stock turbos and clutch both showing no signs of issues. The Cobb V3 Access Port shows repeatable boost values of 21+psi on Stage II Aggressive Linear Throttle tune. The car has Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on all corners. The lack of camber plates have limited the life of the rears to around 30,000 miles routinely. The car has only been tracked one day for four 20 minute sessions. All brake pads and tires have been replaced since this track day. The front rotors have been replaced since this track day as well. The front of the car has the Xpel Ultimate PPF installed since the car was purchased. Only a half hood install was done and there are rock chips on the hood, rear arches, doors, and roof. There are rock chips on the hood, doors, and rear arches. There is one scratch from road debris behind the passenger rear tire. There are no door dings. The Ohlins have been on the car for about 80,000 miles and need to be rebuilt. I have always had the car setup with minimum road height for the rears and the front set level with the rear due to obstacles I encounter on my commute. I did not purchase the remote adjustment kit for the rear coilovers.
This car has been my baby for the last 7+ years. It drives better than the replacement, but just doesn’t have seating for 5. I’m asking $25,000 and am willing to send additional pictures upon request. The car is not being driven so mileage should stay as mentioned above. Any type of shipping will be paid for by the buyer. I have no plans to part out the car.

Couldn't believe the price when I saw it on AutoTrader! Never thought I'd see a 1M in the 30's, let alone at $25,000. This should sell fast!

I can do $21k it probably needs new engine and transmission.

Keep in mind the transmission can’t be serviced and it’s a $5xxx unit.
The n55 gearbox in our cars are very weak.

Also headlights need replacing. Probably a lot of rock chips from highway driving? So one would have to re-spray the whole front.

It would take another $10k to bring her back to normal driving spec.

If you would like your bid to be recorded, please email it to me via 1SeriesMforSale@gmail.com

If you have any questions about the condition, Carfax, or history regarding this vehicle, please PM your email so that I can supply you with all documentation available to answer your questions. I have no information supporting your claims that a new engine and transmission are required. The headlights do have some haze to them and a few scratches from rocks, but I don't see why they would need to be replaced. With PPF on the front of the car, only the edges were exposed. If the buyer wanted a perfect car, then I would persuade them that this is not it. This car has over 172,000 miles and is meant to be driven, not resprayed because of a handful of rock chips to sit in the garage and look pretty.

This is funny. I don't think you can lowball the OP, as I'm certain he's getting bids above asking.

$25K for a one-owner, no problem, well sorted driver?? It's a no-brainer. Just wish I had the money sitting around for a track beast!

Best of luck to you, OP!

This vehicle is off the market for now as I work with the top bidder to complete the transaction. Thank you to all who were interested, especially those who took part in the bidding process. I did not anticipate it going that direction as I was surprised by the amount of interest this generated. The top bid was $30,500. I will definitely be passing on this web site's information to the new owner in hopes he stays in touch with such a wonderful community and owner base. I have genuinely enjoyed my time with the 1M as well as this community. Maybe one day I will rejoin the owner ranks, who knows.
