Hey guys,
I'm having issues with my factory intake inlet pipe holding anything much higher than stock PSI. I'm assuming this is due to the fact that rather than there being a sturdy clamp holding it onto the turbo inlet, there's only one screw on the single side allowing for it to maneuver a bit on the opposite side. I know there is a few solutions for the F chassis, but do we have anything for the E chassis? I haven't found anything. Thanks EDIT: I'm aware of the turbo inlet upgrades available that basically solve this, but I'm more interested in a upgrade that fits the stock turbo inlet for the short term |

I ran the VSRF inlet well before I upgraded to PS2. Fits the stock turbo and lower air intake system fine. I replaced my inlet because it was leaking at the joint.

The only intake I have seen that replaces the entire system up to the inlet is the Injen. Since this part isn't under boost what do you mean it's not holding pressure? |

This post addresses some concerns with the pipes and has a diagram of the pieces on the second post down.

Yeah right after I posted this I realized it. The shop I sent this too is a pretty large performance shop (not gonna name names) and they pressurized a ton of intake piping when doing a boost leak test and stated that this was a problem area, but now I'm realizing that it's really not.

It can be a problem if you have a leak and are sucking in unmetered air post MAF.
I did a smoke test and found mine had a small leak. No issues now with the new inlet. |
