Did it improve mpg? Definitely going to look and read up on this.

Haven't got jb4 what ever that is.!? Car is totally stock atm, but will be adding, dual cone intake, cat back, chargepipe and hks bov, forge fmic too.

But will get everything mentioned in the first post after a walnut blast.

Hoping it will work with my asus tablet.

Has anyone had any experience with the stage 2 tune? I just installed a DP + FMIC. Does anyone know the details on the stage 2 tune? as in what it does to the motor?

Thanks

deesea, you run higher boost, cooler temps with FMIC and you burn through tires really fast.

can't comment on MPG but it seems to have remained pretty much the same even with the additional spirited driving

you'll need some type of tune to take full advantage of those parts, particularly the fmic

MHD stage 1 + fmic sounds like a good one for your car

@RX-BMW fantastic, I haven't flashed it and I'm already struggling with grip when I punch it in 3rd. Stupid Michelin AS/3's. I'll flash the stage 2 when I get my CP + BOV

yeah this cable worked well for me and continues to operate without any issues.

regardless of the color of the board the main problem is poor quality control from overseas.

either order a cheap one knowing that you may need to try another or spend a little extra and get a pre-tested one

Cheers for the advice buddy,

For now I will do a stage 1 to keep me happy till I get the performance upgrades. All I have now is the dual cone intakes.

Is it literally that easy to just get my tablet, the cables and a car charger then buy stage one and done?

I'm assuming it's noticeably quicker then?

Would love to know the power increase results on each stage.

yup the process is quite simple, just make sure your tablet supports OTG cables (most Android tablets do but there are a few exceptions)

it's definitely noticeably faster, I'm still on stage 1 and really enjoying it!

That's Awsome mate!

Looking forward to getting mine done this week, I would of done before and after dynos but tight in cash.

Regarding the updates with the app how does it work?

Also what if our tablets get corrupted or something and loose data we've flashed etc?

Cheers

Your butt dyno will tell you all you need to know

MHD pushes updates through the Google Play store, so the app gets updated with new maps just like how any Android app receives updates

Your purchases are tied to you Google account, so if your tablet gets corrupted the purchase information is saved and you'll be able to reflash.

The only thing you'd lose is any backups you may have done (which isn't too major of an issue as the app can still reflash your car back to stock w/o needing to backup the original). If this is a concern, you can do what I do and just upload the backup to some cloud service like DropBox.

Hello !
I'm french so sorry for my approximate English
I have a question concerning the tariff policy of MHD : in US you seem to pay 79$ for the MHD flasher, then 39$ for your map.
In Europe (at least in France) it costs 100€ + 50€ (approx 165$)

Can you explain this difference ?
Thank's a lot

Hrm the only explanation I can think of is possibly a VAT tax? Though I recall the rates being around 20% which doesn't fully explain the difference in price.

I would post the question on this thread from e90post: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1096247

Where does one go about getting a pre-tested one? My THIRD cable is being delivered today and I swear, if that one doesn't work I may just push my car into a river (I'm kidding, but seriously it's getting frustrating).

Is the MHD software capable of doing transmission flashes like the Alpina B3 or BMW 2011 flash?

not that I'm aware of. however, I haven't really kept up to date on newest developments. would recommend checking out the thread on e90pst as discussion volume is much greater on that forum regarding MHD (see link few posts up)

the prices have slightly increased since I originally posted (there was an early adopter promotion going on).

after $99 for the flasher module it would be $49 for each map. it's not necessary to purchase stage I before II so if you have all the supporting mods you can go straight to stage II maps.
