Experienced coder in Denver

I'm not getting anywhere with the cable and software.

Is there an expereinced coder around denver that can help me sort out my tools, or just do the coding for me.

looking to deactivate some DSC programs on an e82.

Thanks.

Are you trying to do a tune yourself? or what do you mean... What cable and software are you using?

I have no experience with this (I don't mean to waste your time with my reply) - but I am happy to explore options knowing what software and things you are trying to do

Thanks for the replies.

I'm all set now with the ODB:CAN cable and chassis software to read what's set on the car.

After quite a bit of trouble shooting I found that windows firewall was blocking the ifhsrv32 data service.

Are you able to code a car now? I would love to have a few minor things coded (like folding mirrors...)

Reviving this thread. Wondering if you figured out your bugs? Got a couple things I'd like to have coded.

Can coding turn the Bluetooth option on in the radio? My radio doesn't have Bluetooth for my phone and I was just wondering?

It would require the BT module (MULF) and associated hardware to function.

Thanks Joe for the response.... I guess I do without a factory setup. There's always off market products out there.

We managed to turn off a couple of DSC functions. Brake-readiness, and Brake Fade Prediction IIRC.

Others were not off/on, but choice of chassis parameter set, and didn't have time to mess with them.

unplugging the DSC accelerameter under the driver's seat defeated the vector based interventions.

Now driving the 128 with smaller brakes, and the DSC meter unplugged, so not having handling issues. Didn't need to code the module.

Carly

Well I finally broke down and bought a Carly for my fleet of BMW's. I got tired of paying the dealership for little things like battery registering. So I ended up doing my daughters car with the Carly and played with turning on the digital speedometer on her car and mine. Next is to see if I can turn the warning off on the iDrive on my wife's X4. Got to do some more research as to what I have capabilities I have with this app. But if there something I can do for the Denver folks here lets me know.
