I have a 2013 DCT 135i. 76k miles. AW + Coral red. I’m in Wisconsin but I bought the car from Fort Lauderdale florida in November. Car is stupid clean and has had all the maintenance done in my ownership. Only reason for selling is I want something more practical. I’m looking for $18.5k.

If you are open to having a black exterior there's one for sale at Sunnyvale VW, checks off all your other boxes. I checked it out today, it's super clean in/out, new discs/pads, everything works as it should, transmission shifts smoothly, been a NorCal vehicle all it's life, etc. It was the first time I got behind the wheel of a 1 series and unfortunately it wasn't what I expected/hoped for so I'm passing on it. If interested hit up Josh @ 408-483-7712
https://www.sunnyvalevw.com/used/BMW...a402a1bd7c.htm There's also a 2012 for sale in SF by private party, I have not seen it in person but looks clean and from the brief exchanges I have had with the seller it appears to be in mint condition: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=568712910 |

I think the grey one would be nice, but is way too overpriced. If the Sunnyvale one was grey and with some negotiation i could probably make it work for me. |

The black example was mint, if you are motivated jump on it quickly I doubt it'll last. Local NorCal used car sports market has been very active the last few weeks during my search.
The 1 series platform itself fell short of my expectation, I knew going in it would not be an M car but my plan was to drop ~$10k to modify it to a DIY/affordable M2 alternative. HP/torque numbers, 1/4 mile times, etc have no merit for me, I'm in the hunt for a highly visceral "go-kart" driving experience and the 135i was a bit too tame/numb in stock form for what I'm shooting for. I don't want to drop $20k on a clean 135i + another $10k in mods and still be disappointed. Only way to answer that is to get a ridealong in a modded one from a local forum member but with 'Rona peaking I'm not comfortable. The asking price on the gray one is on the higher end but given the low miles, M package and recent service it's not totally unreasonable. If you can get it for $20k that seems fair. You get what you pay for, $15k might get you into a 135i but it'll have higher miles, fewer options, and potentionally cost you more in the long run sorting it out unless you are doing your own service. |
