Just picked up this beauty! 135i with lots of extras!

This thing went for sale locally and I snatched it up immediately. I'm big into car audio and the system in this thing is above and beyond anything I could ever create, much less afford to do from scratch. Has plenty more going on as well including upgraded turbos, full bolt ons, meth injection, and tune. I haven't even seen the car in person yet as I'm overseas for a work training but it's at home waiting on me. So anxious to get back and see it!

Looks fantastic! Congratulations.

Hard to believe they did all that work and left the stock, flat, vinyl seats in there. That's your next project.

I'm in many forums and this is apparently the only one that doesn't notify you of replies to your posts when you're logged in, been all over 1a and haven't seen anything about this post lol.

Seats don't bother me much, when you say next project you mean to imply reupholster or replace? Only replacements I've seen are super dope but super $$$$$

It was yes!

Funny thing, I actually thought it was DCT when I bought it lol (was overseas at the time, read DCT was introduced in 2010 but apparently for 2011 year and beyond, bought it unseen). I'm a manual trans guy so this was the biggest thing for me but in sport mode (or whatever it is when you just move it to the left and let it do it's thing) it's pretty damn fun.

Look up Clarion DRZ9255, if you were a participant in the car audio world you wouldn't have said that lol.

However, I am actually wanting to replace the HU with a high end double din Kenwood I've got lying around to utilize carplay and other features. Need a mounting kit though and I'm not very interested in the Metra one because it places the climate controls on top.

Interior Custom Fabrication:

Customizing the interior of the 135i starts at the dash. The A-pillars of the vehicle were modified for Hybrid Audio Legatia L3SE wide-bandwidth speakers. These Special Edition speakers are rose gold and are too nice not to show off, so a custom viewing window was cut into the pillar to view the speaker’s motor. The L3SE can be viewed by looking through the windshield, but the uniqueness of the build doesn’t stop there. As it is well known the BMW features an 8-inch speaker located under the front seats, we decided to use the stock location. The stock location was modified by taking a 6-inch hole saw and cutting through the floorboard of the car to allow the fitment of a Hybrid Audio Legatia L8SE Dust cap speaker. Grilles protect the drivers on the underside from road debris and moisture. In between the steel grille and the midbass is a layer of hydrophobic mesh to fully prevent water intrusion. Both the L3SE and L8SE speakers are powered by a Graphic GX2400 amplifier 4 x 150 at 4 ohms.

The dash was modified using a Janus BMW 1 Dash kit. The dash piece was modified to fit (2) single DIN size openings. At the top of the modified Janus piece is a Helix Director, which is a touch screen controller that allows the user to have access to preset audio tunes, as well as volume control, and bass level control. The dash also features a highly-modified Clarion DRZ 9255 single DIN head unit. By using the Clarion we gain access to optical output allowing us to have the most pristine output signal. The HU comes with original box and packaging along with several NOS trim rings.

Fully fabricated and customized trunk fitting a Hybrid Audio Clarus C15SW-D4, (2) Brax Amplifiers, a Helix DSP Pro, and (2) 0/1-gauge fuse blocks. In the trunk we have a Hybrid Audio Clarus C15SW-D4 hanging from the rear deck infinite baffle firing into the vehicle; powering the subwoofer is a Brax Graphic GX2400 Bridged 2 x 480 watts at 4 ohms. The output of the subwoofer emanates from a center grille of extruded metal in a custom fiberglass rear deck. To compliment the Director in the dash of the vehicle and control the fully-active sound system, there is a Helix Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Pro which allows us to control the crossovers and tune the car to sound quality perfection. The wires used in the vehicle were all custom cut to length by Cardas Audio. These wires connect all the amplifiers, speakers, and supply power to the entire system. To finish off the trunk of the vehicle all the panels were custom built and wrapped using black and tan vinyl to compliment the interior of the vehicle.
