Woah. That is pretty cool! Hook us up with some more details. Haha. Is that just a coding change?

If you code out the TPMS modules one of the body computers switches over to the FTM system. In my experience, when a tire is 12-14psi below normal the warning light (a red tire light) pops up and you do have to get out and see which tire is slacking.

Very nice. What kind of wheel lug nuts are those? Hard to tell but they look like some sort of star pattern.

Did a little work on the 1M/M3 rear suspension carrier. The Ebay bushing removal tool doesn't fit over the ///M bushings, but it turns out the pot metals flanges snap off with a pair of vise grips.

Did your tool say 'Försvara' on it? I had to enlarge the hole in the tool to remove the front M3 subframe bushes also. Came out though fairly easy. I'm not sure the tool will be sturdy enough though to press in an aluminium bush.

No branding, but the same company. I welded up some steel bar to remove the large, rear bushes.

I'm going to use one of my universal bushing remover/installer kits to install the AL bushings.

Installed and tuned the UP 7BMW. Really happy with the result. Graph is with the trunk sub remote turned all the way down. I tuned it with the remote turned to about 1/4 of full scale, but forgot to capture that image. Couldn't do anything about the dip ar 315 Hz.

Will post the Bavsound Revenant up for sale soon.

Minor Fitment Update

I had one (1) incident of minor rubbing on the front (right) strut tube under high compression while hitting a bump, so I thought I'd try out a 3mm spacer to give it a little more room. Yesterday, under similar circumstances I had minor rubbing on the inner fender lip and kissed the bumper tab.

I decided to ditch the spacer and put up with incidental rubbing rubbing of the strut tube. The 3mm spacer and rubbing won't/wouldn't be an issue with increased camber, and I want to raise the suspension ~5mm when I get coilovers anyway. The stock rubber upper strut mount tends to settle after time, so I've lost a little ride height as it is. I trimmed the plastic bumper tab a little while I underneath inspecting and cleaning, too, JIC.

Current suspension recap:
Koni/Swift Spec-R, ~2.7° w/Dinan fixed camber plates, 17x8.5 ET40, MPS4s 245/40-17

On a side note, when I installed the new tires back in April I bent the F30 brake backing plates to actually clear the barrels of the wheels. Dusting has been reduced to lower levels than the rears suggesting much better air flow to the calipers and rotors. Usually the front would be pretty black by comparison. Front on the left below.

Thanks, that's actually a really good data point as far as future suspension work for pretty much anyone w/ a 1-Series.

It looks like the Swift Spec R spring is similar in design (conical) to factory springs versus a narrow coilover type spring that Apex recommends for a 245/255 front tire (in their track fitment guide). Do you think this type of fitment/tire/wheel size would work with factory suspension as long as camber is dialed in with the use of camber plates?

Probably, as the spring perch sits above the tire. You'd definitely need camber, and with 255 probably a fender roll.

My car's 10 years old as of 10 January though I didn't take delivery until 4 March. As a birthday gift, I'm dropping it off at the dealership tomorrow for a new windshield.

Mine will be 10 on 10/Aug.

1 1/2 of those years with me and I still love it to bits. Of course, the eye strays; "Oh, what's this? A manual swapped 540i Touring. If I sold the 1er...", and then I see and drive my 1er; no way that's going anywhere. For now

Insurance job, or out of pocket? Interested in doing the same, but would rather do some maintenance if it's expensive.

Out of pocket and at the dealership, so expensive.

Are you going for the ‘windscreen with grey shade band’? We have that option on our (me and the missus joint) 125i, really nice.
