Cold Start Video
Hi Guys,
Here's a quick video of the new exhaust on a cold start: ***Edit*** (Fixed video link) https://picasaweb.google.com/JohnnyC...47705651985618 Sounds very good IMHO! I'm planning on attending the SoCal 1-M meet in Woodland Hills this Sunday (2/26/2012). See you there... J Last edited by JohnnyCakes; 07-31-2013 at 12:24 AM.. |

$2145 for a MUFFLER?!?!?!
Seriously BS. Borla offers cat-back systems that include full piping from downtube back to dual mufflers for 335's for $1200, and you have the balls to try to charge $2100 for a muffler? Couldn't be more than $400 of materials in this exhaust. You're charging more than a Eisenmann axle back, which is made in germany and has to be tested to meet TUV standards. Ridiculous. |

Anyone is welcome to build one for $400, perhaps we will see one coming from you in the near future? There has to be a retail price, but it's not always the selling/street price. |

Quite honestly, that is pretty much what I was expecting for a Borla. In my experience with Borla, which is limited to the E30 M3 and a friend's F150, there is no comparison in quality to brands like Eisenmann or Remus or Supersprint.
Borla = Magnaflow + 10% on a good day. |

The biggest problem we as 1M owners will face when modifying our cars is that the aspect we so love is hurting us the most... limited quantity.
Borla along with other manufacturers understand that even if every owner purchases their system, it will still be why of most other systems they offer. They have to spread out the cost of development, manufacturing, overhead, etc. Factor in the profit margin they seek and they arrive at $2145. Now, they may be delivering less of a product than others out there, but that doesn't mean we will see an axle-back system, of decent quality, that is going to be below $1500. Time will tell, but I have already prepared myself to spend a good amount to modify the exhaust. I am hoping to catch a GP or holiday sale sometime soon.

No way would I pay the SAME for a Borla muffler as an Eisenmann one. I am very happy with my Eisenmann thus far!

What's the weight relative to stock? Seems a bit heavy from the pics given all the added plumbing.
