The Brembos are going on a 335xi I also own. They are stock brakes on F30 335i/340i/435i/440i. Sourced from some wrecked cars, they are not the Msport blue option (with a 370mm rotor) they are just the unpainted grey, still 4 piston brembos, but they take a 340mm rotor. Much cheaper and suit my purpose just fine. I just sanded them and painted them with a high heat primer and vht real red caliper paint.

The E90 335i single piston floating calipers are larger then the ones on the 128i so I will rebuild those, paint them and throw them on the 128i as an upgrade aswell.

Both upgrades should bolt right up with no issues, just plug and play oem goodness without any broken bank accounts.

Well I wasn't seeing the results I was expecting with Sonax, Chemical guys Diablo or Autolgym Magma. I used some connections to get an acid based industrial cleaner, A few sprays, hit it with a sponge and all the baked on dust came right off. These wheels look new.
Exposed a few spots where the previous owner tried to hit it with a steel wool or sand paper, the clear is far from perfect. But they are getting a dark powder coat when tires will be getting replaced. Thinking a metallic black, maybe a copper of some sort. Applied some cheap wax to try to keep some of the brake dust at bay.
On to the bad news. Tested them on the 335 to see if they clear the caliper and they grind just a little bit. I think i will try to sand the caliper a bit when it comes off to make it work. The wheel spun but with some resistance and a small scratch on the clear coat appeared, if it was easy it wouldn't be fun!
Stay tuned for a few wheel weights and impressions after the change.

The wheels are on! And the difference is night and day. Car is basically wearing running shoes instead of steel toed boots. Results are as follows:
Winter: Style 189 18x8F/18x8.5R with a 235/40/18 Sumitomo Tire: 55Lbs
Stockers: Style 256 17x7 with a 205/50/17: 45Lbs
OZ Superleggera 17x8 with 235/40/17 PSS: 35 Lbs

That is roughly 20 pounds a corner un-sprung weight from Winter setup to the new summers. I have heard somewhere that un-sprung weight savings should be emphasized on a scale of 6 - So a total percieved mass of 480 pounds.. makes a difference. The way the car handles is much improved, still need to refresh the suspension but that's a bigger project for the winter. Car feels much more snappy around town, just happier to rev.

Thank you! I also like myself a good 5 spoke. They have some majour curb marks so they will be getting some love this summer, and maybe a change of colour to a flat black. I need a little bit more camber with the fronts to get them to fit in the fender when I decide to lower it a tad, but I'll figure it out

Theres a company in Germany that makes colored belts you can just bolt on but how do I remove the interior trim to get to the right bolts...
I wont be much help because in the coupe's (E82 and E92) Seat-belts are chassis mounted unlike the sedans that bolt the bottom end of the belt to the seat.
A quick search brought up a DIY that still has all the photos, looks like you have to take apart half of the interior to get to the belt, here you go

Car was a bit to quiet, and as much as I was considering headers, I think I'd rather wait on them a little longer. The recent trend seems to be a 135i muffler with some deleting to get a good straight 6 soundtrack, So I jumped on the internets and found a cheap one local. The tips were a bit worse for wear so a quick scuff with some 420 grit and some engine paint and they came out looking good. 2.75OD piping on the 135i muffler and 2.5OD on the 128i should be okay for a shop to weld them together without to much hassle/cost.

Keep ‘em coming: this is awesome!

Congrats on the Superleggera’s; they are my all-time favorite wheel. I’ve had then on a Miata and Legacy GT..... will be keeping an eye out for a set for the 1.

The fun will continue! I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up the pace but hope to get some work done on it weekly!
I never considered OZ racing wheels for some reason, thinking either they didn't have any 5x120 offerings or the price would be outrageous. But I am glad I found them, the light wheels combined with a good tire has made such a drastic difference in driving performance.
Form was always very important to me, I am finally realizing the better route is Function. At least for me, everyone is entitled to their opinion and someone might want to fit 14" wide wheels with 10 degrees of camber, but I think I found what really "floats my boat"
