Cobb Chargepipe Fitment Issues
Tried installing the Cobb CP this weekend, what a PITA. It refuses to go on, no matter how hard I try. I even tried to loosen the TB bolts to get a more forgiving angle.
I might need to take a Dremel to it. Can anyone who's running a metal Chargepipe (one without fitment issues...) take a measurement of the opening?

Apologies, nothing specific to offer as help.
But others have reported fitment issues with Cobb CPs on N55s: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1048055 Karl.

I had the issue as well, I called Cobb, they said they had a recall on some batches of charge pipes because they weren't machine correctly. I ended up returning it for a full refund and getting a new one. Maybe give them a buzz and see if you have a CP from the bad batch...

Thanks for all the useful feedback everyone. I decided not to take a dremel to my brand new CP... Instead I'm contacting Cobb -- Hoping for a refund. I shouldn't have to deal with this on a brand new part.

I took my throttle body off entirely and put that on the pipe before installing it, just be careful of the o ring gasket on the throttle body while removing the throttle body and apply a thin film of oil at the flange of the throttle body to make it easier to spin around for final adjustments, made it a lot easier for me.... Except that I dropped that stupid C clip in the engine bay and spent an extra 30 min trying to find it.....
