What you guys think about this price
Hey guys and girls, been lurking around this forum for a while since debating about the BMW 1 series. I am still kind of deciding on the 328I coupe/ 128I coupe/ 135I coupe. I am thinking about this demo at the dealer with:
135I coupe black on black heated steering wheel sunroof USB automatic transmission all going for $45575(MSRP) and there will have no PDI or feight. Oh and its got 600KM only My question is the invoice on this cars around $38,XXX, i guess the margin on the mark up isnt that much, so lets just say I will give him $39,000 for the car+1500 for sunroof, 395 for usb, 1600 for auto tranny, and 250 for heated steering wheel, i should be looking at $42,745+tax (since theres no freight and PDI hopefully none of those admin and stuff because this other dealer was willing to take all that off). What do you guys think about that deal? Ganna go head in and hand an offer in on thursday after I check out the new promotions |

what are you looking for in the car....
I currently own 128 since I am not a speedy driver... but I can use extra power definitely like 135... but I am pretty satisfied for what I have... if you are going for 328i coupe, I would rather go for 135i if you are going for 128i, I would rather go for 328i.... so 135i all the way for the price... I am not sure if you want to get a demo car..unless it's a lease... its your car, and people drove it like they stole it..... I got my car @ $36000 + tax.. if it help you any ways..... sport package, usb, sunroof, 6MT....that's it get sport package.... sport seat is night and day..... my e90 have no sport package..and I regreted getting it w/o it ever since |

Well i think its more torn between 128I and the 135I now. Stocks in toronto is like all around $40-41k for the stocks. For the 128 its 34k+1.6(auto)=35.6K, but dealers hardly just get the auto, they normally stack them wif atleast premium I understand 128I is alot less in price, but I will try to get a 135I before i try for the 128I haha

I am in your position...
Trying to decide between a 135i with 6mt and M-sport, upgraded stereo and sunroof vs a 328 sedan.. biggest concern is winter driving up in Muskoka and also do I really need the more room or just think about myself and get the "fun" car |

I own a 128i and I think it's the perfect car for me. You need to take into consideration these factors.
1) If you need the car as a family car and you have kids. a 4 door car would make more sense. 2) If you intend to use this weekend car and have another car for daily use, why not go for more power. 3) Do you want more luxury in your car or more speed? I'm sure you know where I'm getting at with these questions. |

Maybe I'm wrong. Just for fun build a car with your SA with the same specs brand new (assuming you can still do a custom order) and see what it comes to with the incentive and discounts. Be warned that he may try hard to persuade you to take the car off the lot instead of ordering. Also please see my post http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271974 for a car I almost bought |

all good info..
135i... love the performance, rarely have more than 2 people in the car, odd time I can sneak in a rear passenger (usually female) I have no kids and love to have a "driver's car" I am comming out of a 2007 VW GTI... btw had a good experience with a SA @ BMW Toronto... not a good experience at T&C or Autohaus. |

Hey Garduna, thanks for the reply, but mst of the time its going to be me and occasionally with my girlfriend or another friend. I think from your questions I got my mind set on the 135I, thanks!
The cars MSRP was $45575, I am going to push for around $47,000 after tax for it. It was around that after I added $500 to dealer profit, and $900 off for the 600KM($1.5/KM). Who at BMW toronto did you deal with Mastercraftness? I went to BMW Toronto and T&C BMW, the BMW toronto sales man sure knew how to talk he said he can only give me 2% discount on the car, POSSIBLY 3%, where as the T&C one told me to give him what ever price and he will present it to his manager regardless. Both are polite salesmen, so no worries there. |

Yep. It was actually quite easy (which was suprising because I am not a good negotiator or anything).
Here's hoping to the incentive going up this month! |

wow not too bad... 6.5% off..
I was dealing with Wesley at BMW Toronto. I haven't got to negotiating yet... I am sure numbers won't be an issue with the cars as it's a competitive market. I choose a certain dealer for the after sales service and give the deal to the SA that deserves it. I am in sales and appreciate a good sales guy who takes the time to service the customer and not just "flush em out" I figured I would go in with 3% markup over dealer cost... about $900 gp on the car is fair. |

I just noticed on the bmw website that lease rates have been reduced to 2.9% from 3.9%
Question is it corporately a rate reduction or dealer buy down which essentially cuts into their GP, thus reducing the amount that they will discount the vehicle. |

I received an e-mail from my SA indicating the rates for all 1 series have dropped to 2.9%. They must not have updated the website yet. He did not specify what (if any) alternative delivery credit is available for cash purchasers. Best thing to do at this point is to phone and inquire.

If you go under specials and promotions under bmw.ca it's listed... the "build" section is not updated yet..
I also noticed that 3 series sedans no longer have the n/c auto transmission. |
