The article says it only pertains to cars with ConnectedDrive.

Just another reason why too much tech in a car isn't necessarily a good thing.

There does seem to be too much "gadgetry for the sake of more gadgetry" going on nowadays.

Truer words were never spoken. shah269 likes to carry on about "engineers", and I suppose some of what he says is true (I'm an engineer, 33 years). But I still have a dumb phone, and I take some crap from guys I work with because of it .

Do any 1-series cars come with ConnectedDrive? I have no idea what that is...

I'm a product guy by career, so a big part of that role is tactfully saying "No" to developers and sales people.
