Street tires?
I have thought it was just a matter of time before someone willing to fiddle with the software brought it down into the 3s. Is Terry the first? |

Quick question: I read that the fuel pressure is remapped for the JB3. How does the fuel pump handle the added pressure? Iv'e already heard there are some issues with the punp at stock performance. I also remember reading about a recall on some pumps. Also, any issues with the turbos at >15 psi?

Looks like the beta testers are speaking up now. I don't think I can stand it anymore. I have to get this tune!

Now I know this is slightly off topic, but when you launch an auto, do you start it off with one foot on the brake and one on the gas to get the revs up, or do you just floor the gas? This is something I've always wondered about:iono:

Normally autos have non locking stall converters, on these you just floor the gas pedal, if you stand on the breaks, they usually bog down... If you have an auto with a 'high stall' converter fitted, then yes stand on the brakes and mash the gas pedal, then let go of the brakes - depending on the stall rpm rev range, they'll go to that limit, lock and fire away...this is a popular mod for grag racing set-ups  As for the ZF unit on the 135i it locks mechanically at 1,200rpm under WOT, so you'd be ok to just mash the gas pedal and go...we'll have to get one of the 135i auto owners on here to answer if it actually works better or not to rev it up whilst standing on the brakes  |

"Since I already had the drag radials on I decided to throw in a few gallons of 100 and see what she could really do! Mods are JB3 (normal high boost map), 245/45/17 drag radials on K1 rims, and the higher octane fuel. Weather was pretty good, in the low 60s."
