DCT High Temp
Anybody ever need to get a temp sensor replaced in the DCT transmission because of random high temp warning lights?
I'm thinking I might be having this issue. |

Last year it was happening to me all the time. I actually watched the temp rise just with the car sitting at idle.
I ended up getting new clutches installed, but the issue is starting to pop up again. I've read a few threads, some have brought up temp sensors, none have replaced and reported back. Some threads are also nightmares, where everyone just says you need to get a new trans. My mechanic suggested that when ever he's done clutch replacements/upgrades, he also recommends replacing the sensor because you're in there anyways. And I've also read of people's issues being fixed with an adaptation reset. For now, I've had a temp warning light come on twice in the last 3 months, last time it did it was more than a month ago now though. If it happens again I'll try the adaptation reset. |
