Sexy new Deep Sea Blue hotness =D

Just picked her up today finally after all the snowy bullshit has ended here in PA =D =D =D

These pics I took after drivin bout 30 miles around town n up n down this kickass back hilly road I found.

Before anybody says anything, I am NOT a prof. photographer, I dont have a kickass camera either, its a Nikon Coolpix L100, takes plenty good pics for me, but theyre not HDR or anything.

I is a VERY happy camper with this car, mustve spent like 45 minutes just messin with the seat positions n shit, think i finally got it down =D

Only real "complaint" i have with it at the moment is the sidemirrors. The right one especially really doesnt cover as much ground as ones ive been used to, I know Ive read this before bout the 2010's, its not a huge ass deal, just gotta get used to it really. Otherwise this thing beats the hell outta my previous Mk5.

Prob gonna give it a month or so before I start doin any kinds of mods to it, only thing im puttin in right now are //M sport pedals (3). Other then that, my next mod to come will prob be intake, BOV/chargepipe and a nice exhaust (maddad or magnaflow). Def will not be doing anything to the suspension of this car, I tried that on my Mk5 and regretted it, to me its a waste of money and time, specially living in this area. If I lived in Tampa or San Diego where pretty much all roads are decent and well taken care of, I might. Here I am perfectly fine with the look and spring rates as they are stock.

Might go a diff route with wheels later on in the spring thou..as of now im a bit broke

Its not, prob just the lighting, this was round 5:30-6pm n like I said I dun have HDR for picture taking.

I love this color, sexy as hell dark blue during the day, and stealthy almost black batmobile style at night

you dont need hdr for true colors. just adjust the on camera white balance. deep sea blue should be a little lighter than monaco.

Hows Harrisburg doing this winter? My sister is a Dickinson Alum and I used to be in that area a lot during the winter. Granted I had a truck then!

PS, Deep Sea Blue is a very nice color.

PPS, still super jealous that you guys in PA dont have to run front plates.

Harrisburg blows IMO, overall im just tired of this entire area. As far as winter went we were hit hard with those first two storms but this last one didnt end being anything, we got like another 1/2 inch at best while most of NY got pounded with no power, etc.

And yea im glad we dont need front plates as well

Looks like the blue is messing with the white balance. Try adjusting the WB manually to the point that it looks right when you take a picture of the scenery just next to your car (without the car in the picture), then use that for the car.

Nice color though, it shows through in the first couple of pics

Did you buy it at Sun Motorcars? How was the buying experience?

Enjoy! Spring is coming.....

Indeed I did =D Their new location is fantastic, excellent layout. I had Mike Montieth as my SA, great guy, we took a couple 1ers out quite a few times before I set the deal. Its actually right down the street from the VW dealer I got my 08 GTI from 2 years ago, go figure.

Good to see another 1er in the area! And I cant fucking wait for spring, this sexy beast is already amazing, cant wait to see how she handles in 60 degree weather

You know to be honest, in the entire time Ive been in this area, I have yet to see ONE 135i on the road being driven, really it makes my sexy 1er that much more appealing along with the massive list of other reasons for which I bought her

Hey on the topic of local 1ers, anybody in the harrisburg/central PA area have any good info on a very reputable, fast and respected shop that works either solely on euro cars or has great experience with bimmers? Just looking for down the road if and when I put on an exhaust and maybe n intercooler, just not something I think i can do on my own. Dont have a garage of my own (use parents garage 10 minutes away to do detailing), I can do smaller stuff DIYer but not bigger stuff that requires a jack or the car totally up in the air.

Check out www.bimrs.org It's an organization of independent shops that do work on BMWs. Last time I looked, there were some shops towards Philly.

Mike Monteith was my SA as well. He's the best! I loved working with him. When I took my kids down for their "Oktoberfest" last fall, he couldn't have been nicer to us.

Sun is a great BMW store. I drove past a BMW dealer an hour from home, to drive 2+ hours to work with Sun.

I'm gonna have to drive to HBG when all of this snow leaves to you see your Deep Sea Blue baby!

I'm taking my 1er out of winter storage Saturday! 'Bout time!

Sweet man! Damn I wish I could keep my sexy car in storage for teh winter, dont have a garage

I really wanna find a place with a garage but I dun think its gonna happen till maybe late summer or later =\. But luckily my parents live close by, I use their garage space for detailing, etc.

BTW where are you at, took you 2 hours to get here?
