18"9.0 255 in the front. The problem with this car is the understeer. Keep a really wide tire in the back to get all the traction you can get and a big front tire to reduce understeer.
that's not how it works and those size tires are completely unnecessary for a 1 series. the understeer will be much worse with all of that additional grip and rolling resistance.

ummm, daring to be different, forged or lightweight 17x8" with widest offset that will clear the body under fully compressed suspension when running 235/45 front and rear.
Wheels should weigh closer to 15lbs, or less
simple spoke pattern to clean

Will anything ever come of this?

Why do we only have 1 (Breyton) non-BMW aftermarket wheel that fits properly?

I am so used to having dozens of wheels to choose from (VW/Audi scene). This sux.

yes. we need an update. i love the look of the CSLs, but they need a 10-15mm higher offset rear aplication so i can use something more than 245/255. with the lame diff, this car could really benefit from a lot of rubber, and some test fits have indicated that 275/285 will work with a ~58mm offset.

has anyone heard anything about the progress of these (or the D-Force application) in the last few months? i thought we were looking at release dates around... right now!

track season has begun, and i just got my tax return!

I personally want Volks to come out with something for the 135i.

My personal setup would be the following:

Tires: 225/235 front & 255 rears.
Rims: 18x8/8.5 front & 18x9 rears.
I don't know what the perfect offset would be.
Most important is weight and strengh.
I think Volks got that down.

if you're looing for weight and strength and only pln to run 225/235 front and 255 rear, why not go with the breytons? they'll hit all your marks at a fraction of the cost.

If anyone's interested in properly sized CSLs, go to the Commercial Sales sub-forum.

There's a german manufacturer willing to make them in 1 fitments if there are at least 20 buyers. The price isn't too bad either considering.
