What to expect?
what should I expect from a 80k mile service? I'm nearing this mileage on my 1er and want to know what I may or may not need. Do I HAVE to go to the dealer? Or can I have my indy reset the computer values?
This weekend - Walnut blast, new battery, new bulb for the headlight. Future / within the next month - Spark plugs, coils, fluid flush (all but coolant- see below) Already done - Valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, waterpump & coolant flush, Oil filter housing gasket, brakes - pads & rotors, charge pipe w/ bov. Injectors are nearing 1 year old what is typical lifespan for these? No idea what index they are. |

If you're doing the blast you might as well do the spark plugs at the same time. Injectors should be fine for a while.
I'd plan on: Brake fluid (if not done in last 2 years) Oil/Filter Spark Plugs Air Filter Consider doing the HPFP as well, the N54's are known for that to go especially at higher mileage. Anyone can reset values. And if you're at 80k on the stock plugs, do them ASAP.
