It's about time that you entered the 2020's!

I've had my 15" 2023 MacBook Air since launch day. Emergency purchase because the screen died on my 2020 MBP 16" (last of the Intel i9's) and I needed a computer for work.

Other than the pains of a few odd Intel-specific apps not running, the Apple M2 silicon is awesome...and no screaming fans roasting my not-so-proverbial nuts.

Does Tiggie have a review of the new computer yet?????

Still running a 2012 MBP and a 2012 Mac Mini. Damn things are indestructible.

I had a MBP that I bought in 2014 and it still worked flawlessly in 2023, albeit slow compared to my MBP M2, not to mention the difference in the sound system.

Yep, the fan in my old MacBook Pro would roar. Haven't heard a peep out of my new one.

And yes, also interested in knowing what Tiggie thinks of JJ's new laptop.

I applaud your choice as I type on my M2 Pro laptop. Well done. BTW isn't it incredible how much faster they are?

I bought a refurbished '15 MBP in June '16 and it served me well, I replaced it about a year ago with a '23 MBP M2. Apple makes great computers and they are the standard for us photographers.

Does the MacBook Pro have a fan? The M2 MacBook Air is fanless.....

MacBook Pro with the M2 chip has a single fan, that's what I have.

Base M3 chip equipped MacBook Pro has a single fan, while M3 Pro and M3 Max chip equipped MacBook Pros have dual fans.

Pulled the trigger on another EV!

Been eyeing ebikes for a while but always go down a rabbit hole trying to figure out the best one. This one came up for $500. On paper it was comparable to everything else I was looking at. At $500 I'm willing to gamble. Having nothing to compare it against seems pretty nice for $500. I've only ridden it around the community but seems pretty good to me. Waaaaay more power than I would want which was one of my concerns being under powered.

Please report back after you've had it a few rides. I'm thinking of getting an ebike. Was that a price for a new one?

Yeah it was $519 shipped. It seems it's an old model they were clearing out so there was a huge discount on it. Unfortunately a day or so after I ordered it they put it out of stock and it hasn't come back.

It's some no name Chinese brand but honestly build quality seems pretty nice to me. The others I was looking at with similar specs were all closer to $1k. Specifically looking at folding ebikes. Decided to take a chance with this one and see if I even like ebikes before spending more. Reliability I guess is the big question and wont know that for a while.

Seems I've been on a bit of a spree since we moved to the new property. My wallet is burnin'.

I'll keep it to some new shoes, though.

Another TP-Link 16-Port Managed Gigabit Switch. I'm getting ready to do some link aggregation with my NAS boxes, so I need more ports than I have available in my current 8-port switch. I also bought another MagSafe charger and stand to use in my office.
