Anyone pass Colorado emissions on n54 w/catless downpipes?

as the title asks, im hoping to actually speak to someone who has passed emissions legally. There seems to be conflicting information and before i spend the money i was hoping for proof.

thanks!

The only way you can pass legally is have the stock catted DP.

Colorado recently changed their emissions law. Cars from 2008 or 2009 and newer are exempt emissions for 7 years. And older cars past those years only have to do the OBD test and no treadmill test too. Make sure no codes our check engine lights present. That's from what I read on colorado gov website.

Mine passed

My 08 passed in 2013 with AR catless downpipes and stock exhaust before installation of full Berk DP back.

HC GPM 0.3705 Limit is 1.20

CO GPM 3.2446 Limit is 15.0

CO2 GPM 352.1866 No limit stated

NOx GPM 0.1848 Limit is 1.50

Dirtier than stock for sure, but passed easily.

I read this on the gov website too. Looks like you're ok until next year.

is that "exempt" for the first 7 then you have to test every other year from that point?

Colo Emissions

Looks like OBD check annually. See below.

Vehicles that are eight (8) through eleven (11) years old will need their "On-Board Diagnostic (OBD)" computer systems checked.
If the “Check Engine” light is turned on, then these vehicles will fail the inspection and need repairs.
Starting in 2015, this will apply to vehicles from model years 2005 through 2008.

One way around the "treadmill test" is to tell the inspector you have a bad trans/syncro. They will do the test without the dyno/treadmill.

Just Passed Mine, OBX DP's, secondary's still in place, running E85, JB4 Set to Map 5. It didn't fastpass through the OBD so they put it on the rollers and she passed.

They gave me the runaround about aftermarket wheels though the one on Peoria no longer does the damage waiver.

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread. I am also in Colorado and am looking for a way to pass emissions without having to reinstall stock DPs and then remove them again.

Has anyone heard of anyone moving the O2 sensors to behind the secondary cats? I understand it may take longer for them to warm up this way, but wouldn't you eventually achieve readiness?

I passed with AR Catless downpipes and the stock catted midpipe.

You could not have had O2 sensor readiness though correct? How did you get around the OBD scan?

I did drive it hard before the test. All I know is that it passed, and they did put it on the rollers.
