Are you gonna get there early and get some practice runs in?

I thought I would get there Friday afternoon and wait for everyone to show up on Saturday. Maybe some of you also want to come early? (Friday) ?

I have a bit further to drive then some, thought I'd take Thursday to be sure. I already get every Friday off this summer thanks to Congress...

I too plan on arriving Friday afternoon.

Still would really like to come along, but still would rather be a passenger. Nobody up for that? Everybody prefers to be left alone?

My GF will be in the front seat.

Why not drive? The roads don't allow high speeds if you're afraid of being left behind. And if they do I'm a slow driver anyway.

I would like to get radios this time. We need better coms.

I know the roads, and oh yes you can drive fast :P. I paid Stelvio a visit last year, I was riding along with a friend from norway in a 850i and a group of like 7 cars (yes, we had radio and it was super helpful). And I don't really want to put my 16d through that, especially considering its a lease and I don't intend to do any service (pads/rotors/tires) to it aside from the one mandatory oilchange .

Sure is a E92 330i, Premium Packaged, M-SPort, Navi, Harmon Kardon okay? Or would you rather squeeze into a 1er?

That sounds bearable . I'll try to make it work. Was the rate of the rooms already mentioned somewhere? Need to do some calculations for July/August and find some more money somewhere

The hotel room, at the Post Hotel will cost us only 50 euros. This includes breakfast. I think it will also include dinner as well, I have to double check on that. They have WiFi only in the lobby which is free and a nice coffee bar.

My first espresso was at the Post Hotel during the last Stelvio trip. I can't wait to go back.

That sounds reasonable, and with 2 nights (assuming friday-sunday here) that adds up to only 100, which is not bad considering where it is and that it includes at least breakfast, or even dinner.

The hotel is at a fantastic location and the hotel staff are wonderful.

I am sorry your going to have to slum it in my car. Please try to drop 5 kilo grams and only pack underwear & socks because my car is at least a 70 hp dis-advantage. So dropping the extra weight would really help....

Bob you know that old joke about a German packing for a two week vacation... he packs only two pairs of socks and one underpants! (for a two week vacation)

But seriously... Thomas and you will have a blast in your new silver beauty!!

Make a European Tour out of it. Stelvio really is worth driving at least once in a lifetime.
