Oil catch can questions
I want to install an oil catch can on my N55 135i. I have some questions. Thank in advance.
Which is better, BMS, Mishimoto, other? Is cutting clearance on the engine cover required for the hoses? How often do you empty the can? Last edited by Z32kerber; 12-14-2019 at 01:24 AM.. |

I was told that BMS is the only way to go. But I don't know the ins and outs of why. Both turbo guys I've spoke to for upgraded turbos said they only reccomend bms. I had to cut a small piece off the little flap on the back of my engine cover. I believe you should empty it with every oil change. But I will check it every few weeks to se how much is in there

Very few people run catch cans on the n55 135i. Same with walnut blasting. Neither on is really necessary on the n55 engine b/c of its improved PCV system.
