Congratulations on the new 1M. For a race team like us the square setup, along with helping us get the car neutral, helps us a great deal on logisitics. Being able to put any wheel/tire on any corner of the car during a race weekend really cuts down the number of wheels and tires we need per car.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.

Ever since we picked up the 1M we thought the exhaust was a bit too civilized. It needed a bit more rumble, nothing overly loud, but just a touch more.

We removed the oem mid-pipe(28.3 lbs) with two secondary cats and a resonator and replaced it with a full stainless steel resonated mid-pipe(21.2 lbs). The mid-pipe has dual 2.5" pipes with dual resonators, into a single 3" Y.

Installation time is about 30 minutes using hand tools with a perfect fit.
