Foxwell scanner question
I recently bought a nice used F10 (N52, automatic) for the wife to go along with my E82. I've read up on this forum about the NT510 and 520, but the 5 series forum seems to be talking up the NT530. I'm hoping to do battery coding and registration when the time comes, along with the usual functions for this device. Obviously with both cars.
Can anyone offer suggestions, even about ICarsoft or Carly? Last edited by fotontom; 01-04-2024 at 06:49 PM.. Reason: spelling |

I'm a Carly user, I've been happy with it. There are "in app purchases" as they call them for battery registration and some other things. It's been useful, you can pull codes, and do various software tweaks like remove the various gong noises, warning screens, and so on. It's an adapter and a phone app and pretty simple.
There may be better options, but it's been a good one, I'd definitely consider it. |

That may be. I got mine setup ages ago, and it works on the 135i and X3 both. But things have probably changed since.
When I looked last night the premium was not much more, probably a good deal overall if it actually includes the adapter. Again there may be better options but Carly is definitely a good one. |

I have the NT 530 and have used it to reset a lot of codes, including airbag. The nice thing about it is you can add other brands for about $75 each. I added ford to mine so far.
