Motortrend 1/4 mile drag race (1M vs. all)
Captain Slow must have been flown in to drive the 1M in this shits-n-giggles race.

 Where's the Camaro SS, Mustang GT, and E92 M3?  BTW, from eyeballing gap distances @ finish line, BOSS / Cayman R / 1M did not look like 12.4 / 12.7 / 12.8 |

I think the cars the 1M *didn't* go up against is VERY noteworthy, as Moo pointed out. Still, the 1M went up against 10 other cars, was faster than one and within a second of five more.
Some of those cars are hundreds of thousands of dollars. IIRC, for the price of the R8 GT, you could own a 1M for the street, a 1M for the track, and two of the Laguna Seca Mustangs, so that when people tell you the Mustang is better, you can tell them "no worries, I've got a couple of those, too."

for the price of the r8 or even the gt3 id rather get the SRT10 viper (would be near the top of this drag race depending on driver) and buy a 1M as a DD
