strange issue with rpm's
on my way back to work (not beating on the car) i pulled up to a traffic light. my foot was not on the accelerator however I heard the engine working. I looked down and the rpms were a bit high. After hovering a little bit over 1,1000 rpms, they would then jump up to +/-1,600 and then back down around 1k. Two seconds later it would jump back up and do the same exact thing again. It did this for a good two minutes before the light turned green and I took off. Strange. Any ideas as to what would cause this?

Sounds like you need to have it serviced.

Mine hovers at 1200 or so at start then settles down to 800 or so after a few moments. I'm at 600 miles and have burned nothing but premium ethanol free gas since burning off the first tank that the dealer put in.

Yeah, at start that's normal. What u posted about earlier is far from. I actually drove the car before and did not have any issues. I'm going to chalk this one up to bad gas. FYI I have 4500 miles on my car.
