Is my fuel guage wonky?

For the 2nd time in a row, I filled my tank up until the pump handle "popped."

My tank was down to 50 miles remaining, but the handle popped after only 7 gallons... I tried to top off but fuel spilled out the top of the filler neck!

My gas guage still shows slightly less than 3/4 full... anybody else have a guage that's reading low?

not to sound like an ass however not only is there a post about this issue already, it's even on the first page of this general discussion.

Now IMO, if fuel spilled out, and it's still reading 3/4 tank..contact your dealer because it's definitely not normal.

Did it to me the first time I filled up. I think it is due to the pump, not the car. Try a different servo next time, I did and it is fine.
