Question ||| Active Autowerke | E9X/E8X N55 Performance "Green" Air Filter |||

Active Autowerke E9X/E8X N55 Performance "Green" Air Filter

The Active Autowrke N55 performance filters is designed from inception to have that BMW factory like appeal added with the Active Autowerek philosophy to deliver true performance. The end result is a direct drop-in style fitment that lets your engine breathe more effortless while delivering dyno proven horsepower gains.

Time tested on matching the right pleat design with the optimum filtration were all conducted on the in-house Mustang Dyno here at Active Autowerke. The end result is a product that performs on par or often excels when matched against the competition.
Simple but functional, this performance product does the job wonderfully.
This is a direct drop-in filter that fits into your factory air box.

The Active Autowerke Green Performance Air Filters are uniquely designed to take full advantage of cottons capabilities.

Unlike multi-layer gauze filters which can fray and release fiber particles into your engine, our filters uses two layers of tightly-interwoven cotton fabric. The 3 main benefits to woven cotten are the fact its thinner, holds oil better, and is stronger. Since its thinner, it allows better air flow without sacrificing filtration. The cotton holds the oil more evenly, and the medium is much stronger. Unlike gauze, you cannot wear a hole in woven cotton by rubbing it, and there is no way small bits of cotton can rip off since its interlocked with another piece.

Cross weaving one fine, and one medium layer, produces a fabric that is thinner and stronger than other materials and has the ability to trap dirt up down to 5 microns. The result is better airflow without sacrificing filtration. And because the fabric is so durable, they can be washed and reused over and over, which allows us to give it a lifetime guarantee.

Hand molded flexible rubber base on filters.
Green Filter USA rubber molds create air tight seals. We also feature trim-able custom fitment tabs on all filters.
Green Filter USA uses deeper air filter pleats which creates 20% more filtration surface.
Race proven gains and technology.

LMAO
Hope this helps

"They key to Green Performance Air Filters' performance is their two-layer, interwoven cotton fabric. This makes the filter element thinner, stronger, and better at holding oil. Unlike multi-layer gauze media, Green's cotton won't wear through or release fibers into your engine. These filters also utilize a complex 4-step manufacturing process when bonding the exterior and interior parts together, which makes for a far better seal than the competition."

btw multi-layer gauze media = K&N

Nope, all DCI on the market, as well as the ones we have tested have all resulted in loss of power. This is the best solution for an air filter.

Can't tell, as we have never tested these "Blue Filters". All I can say is that he guys at Green Filter USA put a lot of R&D into their products before they release them.

Fair enough, but I would have liked to see them test the AFE filter before I drop money on replacing mine.

Are you saying you bought your AFE without any tests...?

And of course, we will test our Green Filter once is developed and ready.

We are not saying our filters are better than anyone else's. Once we test these new green filters., we'll see where the numbers are. The buyers are free to make their decision as to what route to take.

1. I assume these are reuse type filters. Clean and reoil, or just clean and dry?
2. Do you have objective testing for effectiveness of air cleaning? A particle size rating? After a few cleaning cycles?
