The RS3 is more things to more people, I get it.

However, I never wanted or considered an RS3 but now I know it can carry a greater payload.......

.... I still don't want one!

Do BMWs have a much worse warranty than Audi? 8 points lost there! :-)

Agree with the above though - I can live with less front (5 points) and rear space (14 points) and a lower "variablity" score (what does that actualy mean in relation to "Body". Do the RS3s rear seats turn round to make a picnic area or something - whatever, another 15 points gone!).

Damn, I've been suckered into playing the points, not the emotion game

Variability relates to colour, optics pack and wheel choice I'd guess

To give a better score for Steering, I guess they must have really liked the FWD biased AWD and the Electric Power Steering.

WTF?

Garage List
conclusion is:

the rs3 is the better allround daily driver whereas the 1M is an "uncompromising, razor-sharp - track tool"

so what would i prefer?

For some people, the best allround daily driver is a Lincoln Town Car

Auto Motor und Sport came to the same conclusion and awarded the RS3 more points for steering in their comparison test as they found the 1M's steering "unnecessarily heavy & somewhat insensitive"

a car with that weight and "only" 340 HP deserves more than 40/100 for traction when it does 4,5 sec. to 100 km/h. Or am i becoming retarded?

It is an absolute hoot on the track and an addictive plaything on your favorite twisty back road. "

i saw this too. makes no sense. of course the awd will have more traction. i dont know why they even have this category when the comparing awd vs rwd. in terms of driving dynamics i would prefer the rwd with 'less' traction

That's two reviews now - is the 1M steering really "unnecessarily heavy & somewhat insensitive" ?

Anybody who's actually driven one want to comment?
