Now lets see it against an Absolut, and then Sadir's spear.
Did he have to swap clutches after he sauced that first run? I've never been on a bike with more than 250 wheel... 375 sounds fucking terrifying.

With any superbike it's all about the launch. It's a struggle to keep the front wheel on the ground with any bike approaching 200 hp, I can't imagine trying to launch a 375 hp bike through the 1/4 mile. With a wheelie bar the bike would smoke the Koen.
These guys can't even keep the front wheel down with a huge wheelie bar. |

First, the guy riding the bike may know how to build a tuned motorcycle motor, but he can't drag race/launch a bike worth a $hit. I watched what he was doing when "staging" for the hand drop and none of what he was doing would have given him a good launch.
I wish I could find the video of this guy Norman who was part of a drag race team called "Don't Be Scared Racing". The video was of him running a 2004 ZX-10R at Maryland International Raceway down the 1/4 mile. He did it on a pretty much stock bike that had the front end strapped down and maybe a Power Commander. His time in the quarter was in the 10s. No extended swing arm. No supercharger. If they had a guy that actually knows how to launch a sport bike on a drag strip doing this challenge, it wouldn't even be close. The other thing is I stopped watching these Car Wow videos as doing these drag races got boring to me as it's the same shtick. I only watched this one because of it being posted here and because it involved a built Hayabusa. ETA: I found the video. Norman Jackson. My memory was way off. He ran a 9.34 second 152 MPH quarter mile. His mods were an Akra pipe, strapped, and gearing change. Watch how someone that knows how to launch a bike and run it down a quarter mile does it on an otherwise full street bike. Last edited by zx10guy; 07-28-2025 at 06:27 PM.. |

Fuck. I just don't have the nuts to do that kinda stuff anymore. Those crazy drag bikes look terrifying.
