Leather vs Leatherette?

Anyone actually had direct experience with Boston Leather compared to the Leatherette?

I've got color narrowed down to Sedona, Montego, or AWhite, but I'm having trouble deciding on my final interior trim configuration. I really like both Terra and Lemon, and it seems that they are P1 options, so I'm tempted to go that way, but I don't know what the Boston Leather is like.

If it's of mediocre quality, I'd probably just stick with black Leatherette. Anyone have any thoughts?

I've seen both in person, and I would go w/ leatherette. It holds up better, and looks the same as the Boston Leather.

If your stuck on getting a color though, then you already know your answer.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. The practicle tight wad in me knows that the black 'ette is really nice & the smart thing to do, but man do I love the look of the Terra leather!

As for the quality of the two, I just compared the two side by side last week at my dealership, and found the leather a little better to the touch, but looking at the 'ette on it's own, most people would not know the difference.

My trouble is that while the Terra is nice, I really don't want leather. On top of that the only way I would consider getting the Terra is as part of the premium package which has many fun gadgets which I like but again...would really have 'ette and I really don't want power seats as they sit about 1-2" higher from reports. Damn these group packages.

Unless you want a color other than Taupe or Black, the vast consensus is that Leatherette is the way to go.
