What's your current delivery prognosis?
My dealer thought my car would be there last weekend, and it never came. He now can't give me a definitive delivery. It seems that BMW NA is holding our cars longer than anticipated, and won't tell the dealers when the actual launch date will be now.
What stories are you guys hearing, for those of you with cars sitting at the VPC? |

On Friday when I went in to finalize details my CA showed me his latest paperwork that had shipping from VPC on 3/13. So Im hopefully it arrives on the 14th. Im tempering myself for a Monday delivery though just to be safe.

One thing to note is that a couple days after the car arrives (1-3 days), the title arrives. They cannot release the car until that documentation arrives...

I have been told for some time now that the car would leave the VPC on 3/21 for arrival in dealer inventory on 3/22 . . . looking more and more as if that is good info.

My dealer has not been able to verify yet, we both know it has been just been sitting at the VPC for a couple weeks now and I think he is just as pissed as I over it. He tells me them holding them and stuff like this shows BMW is not treating this like a normal launch and has something planned up their sleeve.

I've been told my car was due into south Carolina today and it should be at the dealer on the 15th. But that was last week. I've e-mailed the sales guy several times to get specifics (like the ship name) and so far no answer.
So, I'm not holding my breath. |

I hate to blindly toss fuel on a fire but I received an email invitation today to a local dealers "coming out party" for the M3, 1ers and X6.
The date listed was April 9th. That seemed really late to me. You don't think.....nah, couldn't be...could it:iono:?

My CA told me that the car will beheld at the VPC until the launch date.
My OC Estimated Delivery Date of March 14 is way off base, as the boat it's on -- the Liberty -- won't even make it into port until March 19. |

My CA here in Northern Jersey confirmed with someone else at his dealership that the VPC was releasing the cars on the 13th (ie Thursday) and he could have mine anytime from Thurs to Mon.
Mine got to the VPC this past Saturday. |

my dealer says he should have a date for the release of my car on Friday.
i have no idea what he means by that. but it's better than nothing i guess. i'm starting to think that given all the inefficiencies in moving all these cars that the 22nd might be a realistic date.
