Not looking for a big car, but I'd take one of these.

Aberdeen is about an hr south of Raleigh and 2 hrs east of Charlotte. My co. specializes in pain management trays among other disposable items so, I "think" I have some business at Levine through distribution but, not much. |

Levine family name is on a lot of Atrium health facilities. The children's hospital is at Morehead, but I'm at the Levine cancer institute. Hickory is about 1:15min NW of Charlotte

I thought this was an interesting couple of reviews about the M4CS
Originally Posted by CanAutM3 View Post Quote: Originally Posted by spool twice View Post With the deals you can get on a M4cs, I would definitely do it all over again if given the opportunity. Almost a year into it with the car and I enjoy driving it just like I did during the test drive. Steering: Yes, it's a nice improvement over the standard/comp cars. I enjoy it in the normal settings, comfort is nice as well. Sport gets too artifically heavy. The issue I find BMW's e-steering on the F8x platform is that they are not weighted enough on-center, but weighted too much off-center. The CS software tuning resolves the on-center weight feel and relaxes the off-center weight for a more "natural" feeling system, but in Sport, it seems to just add weight off-center so the natural feeling goes away. In addition, I'm not sure if its the lightweight wheels or the nature of alcantara, but I'm never lacking in steering feedback on the car. Yes, it's not hi-fi like a hydraulic system, but it's pretty good for an e-steering system. Suspension: same way. The standard normal setting is nicely damped. Comfort is very very nice though. It's not going to be a BMW 5 series by any means, but the combination of less rotating/unsprung mass, reconfiguration of the shocks/springs/anti-rollbars in combination with a retuned EDC system equals a better balanced ride quality. Even Sport is reasonable with a very-very tightly wound ride, but the edges are always taken off of road impacts, exactly how BMW's of days gone used to ride like. Handling: Still handles nicely. I think Car and Driver was even able to generate 1.04g's on their skidpad with US-spec PSS tires (vs .97g on a comp-spec car). The steering makes everything feel more natural vs. forced. Interior noise: It will be louder than a non-CS M4 or M3cs because of the packed fiber material for the door panel. Not overbearing by any means, but it's not luxury car quiet. The good news is that there doesn't seem to have any auto sound generating device like other M4's, so the interior isn't piped with simulated engine sounds. In a way, it's quieter yet noisier at the same time. The noise that comes through is more road noise, engine noise, and exhaust noise (adding to the raw experience). If you have passengers in the back, remember that the reduced HVAC unit doesn't have rear vents. But the HVAC unit will cool the cabin with ease, the back seat riders just won't have direct air blowing at them. The overall theme of the car is that it does deliver something more natural in feel, more raw, and an overall improvement to the driving experience, exactly what BMW sought out to create when they made this model. Just as a tidbit, the rear compartment is still climatized through vents blowing HVAC air from under the front seats. It is only the rear center console vents that have been deleted. 4 things I can add: 1) I absolutely love the sound in its stock form! Every time I accelerate I am in awe of it, just like I used to feel when I accelerated my e46 M3. The sound is very real, and increases naturally as you accelerate, and the tone is amazing. Some people have changed the stock exhaust to make it louder (which I understand), but IMO its perfect. The tone is a tad deeper than the e46 M3 and a tad less metallic but very raw. (Almost similar in sound to a traditional Porsche flat-6 IMO). I had the M4comp before the CS and the sound was somewhat artificial and more V8 like (deeper and less metallic). 2) steering feedback for me was a big issue on the M4comp and I loved the e46 steering feedback and lightness. With the CS I never feel I am lacking feedback and yes the comfort setting is the best IMO. As said before, it's not as good as hydraulic systems a of old... but it is very good. 3) The grip with the cup 2 is just so high, that is truly difficult to find the limit on public roads. I had never owned a car with such high limits, it is extremely planted. Finally the car feels as though it can make use of its torque and hp. 4). My final thought is about feel. The M4comp was a very capable and fast car, but I never felt confident driving it fast. It always felt disconnected to me somehow. In the e46 M3 I always knew through the chassis and the steering wheel what the car was doing. In the CS everything seems to finally come together to provide that feeling of confidence that allows for real driving involvement and enjoyment. This is an intangible that is difficult to explain and that goes beyond the specs of the car. And this is the benefit I value the MOST about the CS, and why I think I'll probably never sell it. PS. A few months ago I reserved an M2CS (manual) and planning on keeping both for a long time |

@medphysdave who's picking this beauty up? Assume it is already sold and just awaiting for the owner...
Still strange we have not heard any news for US bound cars.

I was told back in March that we wouldn't see reviews until sometime this fall. Not sure if that was in general or specific to US. I have to imagine we'd get some form of review soon after the first deliveries start taking place no matter where they land in the world.

That's not a US Spec M2 CS, you can tell because there's no front reflectors.
