It is independent of any other features/software the car has.

Is CBC related to "ice mode" in any way, or could ice mode also be disabled when TC is fully off? I ask because I've had issues with certain courses or surfaces provoking ice mode, and when it happens it can be seriously unnerving, potentially taking me off course.
My assumption is that it isn't a function one could simply disable, but I'd certainly be interested if one could.

Mike helped me get this sorted. I do have a candidate coding parameter belonging to the 1MDSC module, but it is yet unconfirmed to be the correct one. At this point, would suggest anyone with this interest to contact Mike.

Bump Can anyone give specific details to what is disabled on the CBC? Maybe a picture on settings through ncsexpert. I’ve research this topic for months and running into roadblocks. Thanks |

From a different BMW forum website:
"[BPM] coded the Continental Teves MK60E5 DSC ecm on my car so it operates like the E9x M3 so all traction control except the ABS is turned off when you hold the button down. In other words, the CBC is switchable. Ok, thanks for the info. Guess he installed the E9x M3 DSC module programming and coding on your 1M DSC module. Unfortunately with the mismatched hardware (brakes/master cylinder/steering rack/etc), this isn't an option for non-M cars. Though that was an option, he instead compared the 1M DSC coding to the M3's and identified two significant differences. He made an educated guess about which one was the CBC and got it right!" Specific details will need to come from MDORPHN or Benvo. |
