A New Trend?
I notice alot of Sport Sedans in 2005-2006 have the "V" smile in the front. Do you think is a new trend? If so, do you like this "V"?
I think the Japanese will soon copy this "V"...the Lexus IS is pretty close.

The E90 and the Audi look more angry than smiley...the Jetta and IS seem to have more elaborate smiles.
I've heard that the rear bumpers of Japanese cars are being shaped like a "smile" as they did some research and saw that it somehow reduces rear-end accidents. It's an interesting thought, but take a look at the rear of Camrys, Accords, Altimas, Maximas, new Civics, Corollas, etc. Maybe smileys on the front have some kind of benefit too

Seems like Audi was the first to do this. The last generation Mustang had that shape on the grille. The difference is not so much the V-shape inasmuch as it is the trend to bisect the bumper with an extension of the grille design.
