bmw e81 stalling issue??

the car is a 2011 model E81 118d(diesel) hatchback with 78k on the clock

i was stationary waiting to turn at a junction when the engine jerked and stalled.No warning light came up on the dash

the car started up easily .

i did a diagnostic and it came up with 2 fault codes

3FF0 -Airmass flow sensor

40E9-Exhaust gas recirculation controller,position control

could any one help explain what teh fault is?

OH ,

Replace the wheel speed sensor with a sensor with production date 22 08 or later. Plugin in PC showed 3ff0 error code and stated Air Flow Meter.

i replaced the breather hose which had cracked and problem solved
