LCI Highline tinting to match Blacklines?

Hello guys,
I was wondering if anyone has successfully mimicked the blackline effects on a regular highline LCI?

I am asking because I obvioulsy have the regular LCI leds but prefer the look of the blackline LCIs

I tried to tint them but I guess the tint paper I got was too dark even though I tried to get the lighter tinting film. I didnt like the blackout look and removed the film.

I was wondering if anyone else had better luck and if so, if you can share the brand and type of film used to tint.
Thanks

Not sure I understand your question. Blacklines are black housed LCI tail lights. So the LED is the same. Unless you are referring to pre-LCI.

I believe what he's asking is if it's possible to tint the regular LCI non blackline tail lights to look like more like the blacklines

I guess you can't do it from the outside.
Has anyone actually tried to open them up and smoke them?

tint

Looks like this guy did it and it looks REALLY good, but I can't seem to find the film that he used. Says he used 50% Lamin-x tint (and then mentions something about xenon), but when I go to the website there are a million options (gunsmoke, tint, colors, etc...) and I just don't know what to get.

I might just do some trial and error, but it would be great to know what he used exactly to just order it haha. Anyway, anyone have any ideas?
