I had a guy come up to me while I was eating a red velvet cupcake and simply say "your cupcake is red." Who needs witty opening lines when you can make dull observations? To his credit, he was not deterred when I told him that it was red because the flavor was human blood.

Once, I had a guy hit my car at a gas station so he could get my number then sent "I'm sorry" flowers the next day. I guess it worked. I ended up dating him. Not sure why he couldn't just ask?

It wasn't a BMW so I wasn't too upset but that's kind of extreme.

Not sure of the thought process behind that approach.
