$620 Rear Suspension transformation

Had the car for 2 years now and needed to finish up the suspension upgrade. Last two items on my list were the rear suspension links and full sub frame bushing replacements.

My current mods are:
AST 4100 Coilovers
Swift Springs
Wavetrac LSD
M3 Front wishbone and Tension rod
M3 strut brace (modified for e82)
Dinan camber plates
M3 front sway bar
Powerflex subframe bushing inserts

I know I've been dying for new rear links with all the wheel hop on acceleration. I also wanted to try go full poly subframe bushing instead of the inserts.

I found a killer deal on both

ECS - M3 Upper control arm upgrade kit -$440
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-335....0L/ES2622633/

Prothane solid rear subframe bushing kit - $179
http://www.prothanesuspensionparts.c...sp?prod=KDT917

Best part - DIY install

The upgrade made a huge difference. It really comlpeted my car. I'm excited driving it all over again. So for $620 no complaints at all.

I highly suggest this upgrade to anyone thinking about upgrading your suspension. No down side at all and helps the rest and really helps the dampeners and springs work properly.

Last thing for me will probably be adjustable rear toe link - but that's down the line.

Good job

I've been stacking up the suspension mods in my garage waiting to throw it all on at once, what I'd do for an LSD!

Just did my front Ctrl arms today lower and upper. M3 front sway here next week. A few more months of saving $$ and this is my next project. What made you choose the rear bushing kit over the M3 bushings?

They are two piece so much easier to install and don't require the install tool that the M3 ones do. Feel as good and are far cheaper.

I lubed them properly and have zero noise. The poly inserts never squeaked also. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to revice an old thread. Just wanted to know if OP is still happy with the Whiteline KDT917 bushings? How is the NVH?

Im about to pull the trigger on these or the PFR5 PowerFlex Black's (higher durometer rating, but twice the price).

NVH is increased from stock, but equal to my experience with M3 bushings. Holding up perfectly.
