A whistling sound, could it be a boost leak?
I get an odd whistling sound when I give it heavy throttle from low rpm's for a second or two. The sound is like if you lightly put your tongue at the roof of your mouth and whistled. I noticed it mostly after I changed the intercooler. I changed the CP after the intercooler and the sound is the same. My boost is really good and the sound goes away quickly. It reminds me of the sound the turbo would make spooling up. It's possible it's the sound of the turbo spooling because I added more volume with the bigger intercooler and it doesn't make the sound at higher boost levels, just when starting with almost no boost.

Sounds like a small boost leak somewhere. I know when I replaced my CP to the AFE aluminum one, there wasn't an o-ring in the kit to replace the old one that fit properly, so I get a bit of a whistle under full boost.

Thanks for the response. I get the whistle when the turbo is spooling up from almost no boost. I'm kind of thinking since it just started after the FMIC install and the whistle only lasts a second or 2 that the whistle is the turbo quickly spooling to "fill" the added volume of the new FMIC.

Do a log. Check your wgdc. Leak will push that value up.
On your FMIC install... Did you use T bolt clamps? The answer should be YES. If no, order some and make sure they are tight.
