Whiteline vs 034 Motorsports RSFB Inserts
The whiteline inserts are well documented but haven't seen much feedback on the aluminum 034 inserts.
Anyone know if there is a noticeable difference between the two and whether the 3x price of the 034 is worthwhile? |

If you want aluminum RSFB buy Turner or Bimmerworld.
Let me put it this way. O34 is known for their engine mounts which fail in 1-3k miles. I'd skip that brand altogether.

So the main reason to go with any insert vs a full RSFB replacement is labour cost, however the full RSFB replacement is really the way to go if you want to eliminate the problem.
I would not bother going aluminum inserts, for the same price roughly you can get full replacements (2 piece from whiteline, full aluminum from several vendors etc). You'll pay more for the install but it will be the right upgrade IMHO. |

Skip the inserts, they're trash. I did them, and two of the fuckers twisted right out after a year. Go solid bushing/delrin/aluminum or you're wasting your time.

Agreed about solid bushings, although it should be mentioned that, according to AKG, you run the risk of cracking around the mount when using solid bushings of the aluminum variety. Caveat emptor.
